Now, it’s time to tie this all up in a bow!

How do you overcome your limiting beliefs around money?

In order to overcome them, you have to define them. So let’s talk about it.

What is money?

What do you think of when I say the word “money”?

Do you think of a $100 bill? A credit card? A fancy new car?

The problem with these answers is none of them accurately represent what money IS.

Money is an exchange of value.

But even more than that, money is energy.

Currency is a $100 bill, but MONEY is energy

Money is simply a universal currency for the exchange of energy from one entity to another.

Now, before you write me off as simply a “spiritual person”, let me define energy for you (it’s not what you think).

What I mean when I say, “energy”, is value.

Let me show you what I mean.

Let’s say you and I lived in a bartering system. You’re a real estate agent, and I’m a farmer.

I want a house, and you want a goat. So what do we do? We exchange our services.

What this does is place a value on your energy — and a value on mine.

“BY DEVALUING MONEY, WHAT YOU’RE ACTUALLY DOING IS DEVALUING YOURSELF.”

You’re devaluing the good you can do, the change you can make in the world.

If you have a poor relationship with money, you limit the amount of good you can do.

How do I overcome my limiting beliefs around money?

In order to overcome limiting beliefs regarding money, we have to be able to build skillsets so that we can acknowledge different perspectives and continue learning about ourselves.

There is one skill set that will radically change the way you relate to all of your limiting beliefs:

It’s called Reframing.

Reframing is a technique used in therapy to help create a different way of looking at a situation, person, or relationship.

This happens by changing either the meaning of the situation or belief, or your current perspective of it.

You can do this by simply asking better questions.

As your limiting beliefs come up, ask yourself, “Is there an instance where this belief isn’t true? Is there a situation where this doesn’t apply? Is there someone who is currently doing what I want to be doing — and if so, how did they do it?”

Asking these questions helps your unconscious mind change to focus on a new 126 bits of data per second DPS (remember up above? The conscious mind is only aware of 126 bits of DPS, even though we perceive 2 million bits of DPS).

By focusing on these new 126 bits of DPS, we see opportunities where we didn’t realize there were any.

We see new options where we thought we had run out of options.

This becomes our new experienced reality, which forces our limiting beliefs to adapt.
